Fishing Report from TPWD (May 7)

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 70 degrees; 2.84 feet above pool. Water level is up 2 feet since last week and the clarity is slightly stained. Fishing patterns are consistent. Catfish are good using cut bait in shallow water. The striped bass bite is good on live bait in 25-30 feet of water. Some Stripers have been caught using topwater baits. Crappie are up the river spawning. White bass fishing is good on slabs in 25-30 feet of water. Largemouth bass fishing is good using soft plastics on deep structure.
